Amist Nizza DOCG is a distinguished red wine from the Piedmont region of Italy, crafted exclusively from 100% Barbera grapes. The Nizza DOCG appellation, established in 2014, is renowned for producing some of the finest expressions of Barbera, with strict regulations ensuring high-quality standards.

Appearance: Deep, rich color with hints of granite.
Aroma: Intense and complex, featuring notes of blackberry, ripe red fruits, spices, and a balsamic nuance.
Palate: Elegant and well-structured, with a balanced intensity and a lingering finish.

The vineyards are situated in the heart of the Bricco di Nizza subzone, considered the premier area for Nizza DOCG production. The wine undergoes approximately 12 months of aging, predominantly in large casks, with portions also aged in tonneaux and barriques. To ensure optimal quality, it is further refined in the bottle for an additional 6-8 months beyond the appellation’s requirements.

Amist employs organic and sustainable farming methods, reflecting a commitment to environmental stewardship and the production of high-quality wines.

The 2020 vintage of Amist Nizza DOCG received a commendable 93 points from renowned wine critic James Suckling, highlighting its exceptional quality.

Amist Nizza DOCG exemplifies the pinnacle of Barbera wines, offering a harmonious blend of rich flavors, complexity, and aging potential. Its meticulous production process and adherence to organic practices make it a noteworthy choice for wine enthusiasts seeking an authentic Piedmontese experience.
