The 12 year-old expression is a fine example of how the distinctively crisp, citrus character of Aberlours raw spirit is deftly softened by double cask maturation. Traditional oak and seasoned Sherry butts are both used to great effect, as the mellowed spirits within are combined to deliver a subtly balanced flavour.

Pouring golden amber with hints of ruby, the nose is soft and with fruity aromas and red apples. A fine sherried character, the palate is balanced with rich chocolate, toffee, cinnamon and ginger spiciness, culminating in a rich and slightly spicy finish.

The Glenlivet Caribbean reserve is a true summertime single malt. A portion of it was finished in Caribbean rum barrels, which impart it with rich and fresh sweet and tropical fruit notes. The prominent banana, mango starfruit, apple, and pear notes make up an exceptionally fruity profile that is perfect for sipping or as a base for a Mai Tai with a single malt twist.
