Tanqueray No.Ten is a paradigm of ultra-premium London Dry Gincrafted for classic cocktails. Its intense citrus-forward character, smooth floral undercurrent, and balanced juniper backbone deliver a modern, expressive gin distilled for martinis and elevated G&T experiences. It remains widely praised among bartenders and cocktail lovers.
Introduced in 2000, its produced in small batches at the 1950s-era copper still known as the Tiny Ten, from which it takes its name.
Its the only gin crafted with whole fresh grapefruits, limes, and oranges, combined with the original Tanqueray base botanicals (juniper, coriander, angelica, licorice) plus chamomile flowers, all expertly balanced.
Bottled at 47.3% ABV, No. Ten is non-age-stated and double-distilled in copper under Diageos Cameronbridge operations.
Fragrant and citrus-bright: pink grapefruit, lime zest, and sweet orange rise first, followed by fresh juniper and subtle chamomile florals.
A refined herbal earthiness and coriander spice ground the high-toned citrus vibrancy.
Silky smooth with crisp citrusgrapefruit juice integrates with lime and orange, while juniper remains present but elevated by sweetness.
Chamomile offers floral creaminess; coriander and licorice add depth and spice.
The body is clean yet weighty, surprising for a non-barrel aged gin.
Long, clean, and elegant: citrus peel and licorice linger softly, framed with juniper spice and minimal bitterness.
At 94.6 proof, warmth is noticeable but never harsh.
“The huge bouquet initially offers citrusy aromas that evolve to include harmonious notes of pineapple, grapefruit, allspice, pine sap and beeswax. The palate entry highlights the orange/lemon peel and the angelica components while the midpalate features more of the juniper and earthy cassia. Concludes zestily and savory.” 98 PointsWine Enthusiast
“As compared to the classic Tanqueray, this is a gin with a much more citrus focus and puts spruce-y juniper flavors in the back seat compared to the essence of lemon and lime pith. The palate is extremely complex with waves of earthy botanicals and floral essences.” 95 Points Excellent, Highly Recommended, 2015 Ultimate Spirits Competition
