Etsu Double Yuzu Gin is a gorgeously bright and citrus-forward standoutlayering the zesty intensity of Japanese yuzu with subtle herbal complexity. Fresh, floral, and full of character, it shines best in a clean G&T or simple highball, where its nuanced citrus and gentle spice can sing.
Produced in Akita Prefecture, Japan, at the Akita Distillery using mountain spring water sourced from the u Mountains.
Macerated for seven days with botanicals including Japanese yuzu, juniper berries, licorice root, angelica, coriander, and matcha tea. Only the infused spirit is distilled (no botanicals in the vapor), and its diluted post-distillation using pure spring water. Bottled at 43% ABV, limited edition release.
Bright and uplifting on the nose: fresh citrus of yuzu and lemon leads, backed by a floral-clean juniper scent with faint matcha herbaceousness.
The aroma is refreshing and approachable, with mild citrus bitterness and subtle green spice.
On the palate, zesty yuzu and lemon offer a crisp citrus bite, layered over light sweetness and a mild peppery warmth from coriander and sansho-inspired spice.
