The 2021 was hand-harvested and largely destemmed, then fermented with native yeasts in vat with gentle pump overs and a light touch of pigeage to keep the tannins fine. levage ran well over a year in barrels with a modest share of new oak before a late bottling to preserve detail. It is taut and classical in this cool, low-yielding vintagered and black cherry, violet, and spice over a stony, saline lineframed by powder-fine but authoritative tannins that promise long, graceful evolution.
