Grown organically from 1999, these estate vineyards were planted by Panagiotis Georgiatis and HaroulaSpinthiropoulou, It is a small, family enterprise in Northern Greece, sitting over 1100 feet above sea level. This wine reflects a sturdier, moreearthy, aspect of Xinomavro.
This wine is a blend of Xinomavro, Negkoska, and Mavrodaphne. The Xinomavro and Negoska are harvested and fermented together while the Mavrodaphne is fermented separately and blended in later.
The wine is made by a woman winemaker, Haroula Spinthiropoulou.
