Distilled at the historic La Altea distillery in Arandas, Jaliscoestablished in 1937 and guided by the Camarena familythe production of this tequila is fiercely artisanal. Blue Weber agave is slow-roasted in traditional stone (hornos) ovens and crushed by the ancient two-ton tahona wheel, preserving agave fibers in the fermentation. Fermented in wooden vats using natural yeast, the spirit is double-distilled in copper pot stills and bottled to proof with no dilution afterward.
Aged for 911 months in ex-bourbon American oak barrelsoften stripped of charthis aging process adds layered vanilla and caramel notes without overwhelming the agave core.
