GlenDronach Ode to the Embers is a distinctive Sherryandpeat release: a Highland whisky that bridges deep sherried richness and gentle smoke. At 48.4% ABV, it offers rich interplay of spice, toasted nuts, dark fruit, and earthy smokestriking a solid balance between Glendronachs classic sweetness and its peatinfluenced personality.

Origin & Cask Maturation

• Released in 2024 as part of GlenDronachs Masters Anthologynot an aged-statementbut crafted to explore lesstypical expressions.

• This is the first peated Glendronach expression, matured in a combination of Oloroso and Pedro Ximnez Sherry casks. It showcases Glendronachs signature sherry style married with Highland peat influence.

• Bottled at 48.4% ABV, unchillfiltered and with natural color.
  

Nose (Aroma)

• The bouquet opens with smoky warmthheather and charcoal notesblended with cinnamon-spiced toffee, flamed orange, and caramelized walnut brittle.

• Additional aromas include red apple, star anise, and smoked meat, layered over stewed fruit and dried goji berries.
  

Palate & Texture

• Medium-bodied but richly textured and slightly syrupy. The palate delivers raisin, honeyed walnut, blackberry ganache, and smoked chocolate fudge.

• Earthy peat smoke is present but restrainedcomplementing rather than overwhelming the sherry-sweet core. Flavors of candied ginger, dates, and charcuterie oils emerge over time.
  

Finish

• The finish is mediumlong: a blend of smoke-tinged bitterness, cocoa, salted nuts, and lingering sherried fruit. Hints of liquorice, black pepper, and herbal ash round it out.
