The story goes that A. D. Rattray acquired a bottle of Stronachie single malt which dated back to 1904. They wanted to emulate the style of this long closed distillery, so they used a Scotch from the Benrinnes distillery in Speyside that matched it very closely. A. D. Rattray then bottled it under the Stronachie name. This is a 10 year bottling and offers notes of vanilla, malt, pear, and spice.
