It is a limited edition, barrel-strength, blended American whiskeyblending straight bourbon and straight rye whiskey. The blend is about 60% bourbon / 40% rye.
Bottled uncut and unfiltered to preserve all flavor complexity.
ABV is high: 58% / 116 proof.
| Colour / Appearance | Rich amber to deep golden-copper; warm glow in the glass that suggests strong oak and caramel influence.
| Nose / Aroma | Strong vanilla bean, maple syrup, toasted oak. Also some baking spices (cinnamon, nutmeg), caramelized sugar, a sweet grain undercurrent, possibly light fruit or fig.
| Palate / Taste | Full-bodied, rich sweetness (caramel, dark caramel / toffee), toasted marshmallow, candied pecans, dark chocolate or maltiness. The rye in the blend brings spicier edgespepper, maybe warm spicebalancing the sweetness.
| Finish | Long, warming finish. Oak, sweet spice (cinnamon / nutmeg), lingering caramel or toffee, possibly leather/wood tannins, some oak char. A bit of peppery warmth carries through.
